Float Update - Riders Needed

The NOCHS Coast Guard Festival float is being built as we write this! We want to thank everyone for all of your comments and suggestions. Not only did you post, but you also phoned, emailed and even drew pictures for us to see! After discussing all your ideas with our float construction guy, we decided to meld many of your ideas together and go with a Grand Haven-themed float that has the beach on one end and the city/town on the other. Our tag line, "Where You Need Us Most" will appear on an arch in the center of the float illustrating that NOCHS is (literally) where the community needs us most -- right here in the middle of Grand Haven. Also, along the bottom of the float, we will have a list of our services to help the public get a better understanding of our contiuum of care ... which illustrates the second meaning of our tag line -- wherever you are in the continnum of your life, NOCHS has the services and programs you need most. A large version of our logo will be on the back of the float along with a salute to the Coast Guard. Hopefully we will be able to bring you some pictures of it next week from the warehouse!

With that said - WE NEED SOME FLOAT RIDERS!!! We are looking for 20 people to help walk along and ride on the float (and of course pass out candy)! For every two kids there must be one adult. If you would like to be part of the parade this year please call Justine at x5221 or email at jyedinak@noch.org with the number of family members.
